it is somewhat rather common place these days to go to a free website e.g
facebook, twitter, instagram, etc
and
while browsing through / going through the pages of users at these free websites
see pages of some users who in their bio-section / intro? at these sites
indicate very clearly that
their accounts were hacked i.e deleted.
sometimes such a user will write stuff like :
" hacked / deleted at 225k ( 225,000 ) followers "
or
" hacked / deleted at 150k ( 150,000 ) followers "
or
" follow me at this account. my former account deleted at 99k+ ( 99,000+) followers "

what it all basically means is that such a user had a page / account
at that free website
and at some point
the staff and/or management and/or ownership of that website
unilaterally deleted i.e removed that account
without informing that user of their intent prior to removing / deleting the account
and
without discussing with the user regarding their intent to remove / delete the account prior to removing / deleting the account.
it is of value to understand the exact meaning of the word hacked when used in such a complaint since the way the english language works, the same word may mean different things depending on the context of it's usage
and so when, for example,
the late magnificent entertainer Michael Jackson sang : you know i'm bad
he actually meant : you know i am a very highly talented singer, dancer, musician and entertainer
and so the word bad as used there by the late terrific Michael Jackson is different for example for the use of bad in a sentence like :
the covid-19 disease from wuhan, china is a bad disease that has gone around the world and has had a bad effect on people's health and on economies in all countries on earth.
here, bad means something that is not good .. something negative.
if we relate this to the use of the word hacked by folks who say, for example,
my account was hacked / deleted,
it becomes easier to understand that when they say hacked
they don't mean that some internet user other than themselves somehow gained
access to their page without their permission and/or consent
and/or
somehow interfered with their page without their permission and/or consent.
what they actually mean is that at some point
the staff and/or management and/or ownership of that website
unilaterally deleted i.e removed that account
without informing that user of their intent prior to remove / delete the account
and
without discussing with the user regarding their intent to remove / delete the account prior to removing / deleting the account.

sometimes if you go through the photos, videos, comments and posts, etc at a page of a user who has had such an experience you see stuff like :
" i don't know why my former account was hacked. it was a very popular page and i did nothing wrong "
or
" my former account was unfairly deleted / removed. i did nothing wrong "
what it boils down to in the events of such happenstances is that
all the time, energy, effort, creativity, etc invested
by such a user in running such a page
has been wasted / destroyed by
some or all of the staffer(s) at and of the free website
some or all of the members of management at and of the free website
some or all of the members of the ownership at and of the free website
who at the staffer's whim and caprice
who at the management's whim and caprice
who at the ownership's whim and caprice
wilfully, deliberately and intentionally removed / deleted that page
without informing that user of
the staffer's intent
the management's intent
the ownership's intent
prior to removing / deleting the account
and
without discussing with the user regarding
the staffer's intent

sometimes when this sort of stuff happens you may may come across places where such a user says something like :
" my followers, my fans and other folks really liked my page. they believed it had value.
they believed it was a page that had merit. they don't understand why such a page that had content of value was deleted. i don't understand why either. everyone said the page had a lot of value and was very interesting. and i never did anything wrong "

a fundamental truth and an observed reality is that
instances of users making such complaints have been occurring i.e happening
for a very long while and
are not a new occurrence / new happenstance / previously unseen happenstance.
they are basically occurrences that have been going on for quite a while and are in that sense a historical reality and not something that is brand new.
if one gets down to the basics, one realises that
no money really moved from the user's pocket to the free website regarding the use of that website by the user.
so, in effect, there is no contract or contractual obligation binding the free website to function in consideration of the user's rights? and/or wishes?.
what it actually is
is that the free website has used it's own ingenuity,
spent it's own money, it's own time, it's own energy, it's own effort, etc
to create a website
and thereafter in it's magnanimity?,
allowed just about anyone who so wishes to have a page at their website
without any financial / monetary contribution from any such users towards running the website or keeping it functional.
when you look at it from that angle you can sort of understand why
a staffer / staffers at a free website and/or
the website management itself and/or
the website ownership itself
can at their own
whim and caprice
wilfully, deliberately and intentionally remove / delete a user's page
without informing that user of
the staffer's intent and/or
the website management's intent and/or
the website ownership's intent
prior to removing / deleting the account
and
without discussing with the user regarding
the staffer's intent
the website management's intent and/or
the website ownership's intent
to remove / delete the account prior to removing / deleting the account.

meaning in this instance that the free website spent it's own money and other resources to put up that website and keep it running and
to allow people from just about anywhere to use their website freely
without contributing a kobo, a penny, a dime or a cent to it's up-keep
and
they can therefore jolly well if and when they wish
empower their staff to
at the staff's
whim and caprice
wilfully, deliberately and intentionally remove / delete a user's page
without informing that user of the staffer's intent prior to removing / deleting the account
and
without discussing with the user regarding the staffer's intent to remove / delete the account prior to removing / deleting the account.

my followers believed that my page had a lot of value.
they believed it was a page that had much merit.

and i never did anything wrong "
you know, this thing called WISDOM is an individual thing.
it varies from one person to another
and
what one person considers as wisdom may not be considered as wisdom by another folk
and in fact
what one person considers as wisdom
may in fact be considered to be absolute tomfoolery by another folk.
so, it boils down to
the user's perception of wisdom versus the staffer's perception of wisdom
and/or to
the user's perception of wisdom versus the website management's perception of wisdom
and/or to
the user's perception of wisdom versus website owner's perception of wisdom
and so where for instance a user may be saying, for example, :
" they were jealous of my page and of me because my page and me were very popular.
they envied my page and me because my page and me were popular.
they hated my page and of me because my page and me were popular.
that is why they deleted / removed my page.
there is no wisdom in that.
i was bringing more users to their website through/with the popularity of my page.
as users went to my page, it added to the activity at the website.
so they shouldn't have taken my page because of jealousy, envy and hate.
there is no wisdom in that "
the staffer at such a website and/or the management and/or the owners may be saying, for example :
" we didn't create this website for just about any and all sorts of people to come and be popular at our website.
we created the website for our own purposes and our own reasons.
if we see any page that is becoming popular or has become popular we will delete it if and when we wish after-all none of those users contributes financially to the up-keep of our site.
and if any such user doesn't like it the user can jolly well go and create his/her website
or take a running dive "

THIS THING CALLED WISDOM
is not a gift / blessing that every one in the world has

just like SIMPLE COMMON SENSE is not a gift / blessing that every one in the world has
irrespective of how highly-placed or lowly-placed or however-placed in life
that they are.
all the same, i suppose, folks who may have it sometimes ( or often times ) need to be reminded to run with it in a world where the teeming majority seem either to lack it or to routinely discountenance it or to be totally un-aware of it.
so, here's verses i saw in a good book the other day recently concerning wisdom that folks who have had such un-pleasant experiences

can not understand the reason(s), if any, for such occurrences to happen at all

are not able to see the wisdom in the action of the ownership and/or management of the website and/or it's staffers
